What can you do on this platform?
We invite you to use this free platform to connect with an exciting new online community, and exchange skills to create positive change.
‘Skillshare’ is the name of BLOC’s primary feature, which allows you to exchange skills with other members of BLOC. This is a way for users to share skills and experience, completely free.
The currency used in BLOC is ‘time credits’. Each hour spent helping BLOC users earns you a ‘time credit’, which can then be used to connect with another member specialising in skills you’d like to develop.
When you register you will automatically receive 2 free 'time credits'. These permit you to access skills offered by others in the community straight away.
Once registered, you are encouraged to create a profile detailing your skills. From here, you can find and create Skillshare requests, and exchanges can begin!
Other features include:
- The ‘Conversation’ feature, where members can pose questions, and give feedback and opinions on ongoing conversations.
- The ‘Tribe' feature, where members can create spaces for collaborations and projects. Within a tribe, members can utilise tools such as Trello and Google documents as a way to chat and assign tasks
- The ‘Badges' feature, where members are rewarded for their achievements on BLOC, and can see what other members have contributed to the community.
